IMPORTANT - THESE ARE RESCUE DOGS.

YOU MUST READ THE FOLLOWING AND BE PREPARED TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH YOUR COMMITMENT BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR ANY OF THESE DOGS.

WE ARE FOSTER BASED. We do NOT have a shelter. Dogs are fostered throughout Washington State.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS IF THE DOG YOU APPLIED FOR IS WITH A FOSTER:

Please fill out an application and we will have you email pics/videos of your living area & outdoor area and check your references prior to placement (references are checked for all applications and are required to be approved), to ensure that all of our dogs go to a home that is fit for them. We will contact you VIA text once your application is approved. We will schedule a meet & greet with the dog you are interested in with their foster parent. Then you would start a two-week trial adoption. We do not hold dogs for any reason. It is not fair to the dog or other families who are ready to adopt.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS IF THE DOG YOU APPLIED FOR IS COMING ON A TRANSPORT:

If the dog, you applied for is coming on a transport they will have a future arrival date within their profile. You will need to pick up in Puyallup at the set time & day you are asked to arrive (no other arrangements will be made). There will NOT be a meet and greet. We will not have fosters ready for the dogs planned to go on trial adoptions. For this reason, we will be asking for a $100 deposit for any dog going on a trial adoption at the arrival of the transport. Which will go towards their adoption fee. If you cancel 72 hours before arrival this will be nonrefundable and considered a donation.

PUPPIES 8-12 weeks old:
For puppies 8-12 weeks old we do a 1-week trial adoption, and an appointment is needed to be scheduled to establish care with your vet to keep their vaccine schedule up to date. Vaccines are needed every 28-30 days.

There is a two-week trial adoption for 12 weeks and older to make sure that the dog is a good fit for you & your lifestyle. Then during or after the two weeks if you are ready to adopt, we will email the adoption contract and settle the adoption donation.

Our adoption donation for all dogs is $650 (nonrefundable & NOT negotiable). This amount goes to covering their vaccines (up to date- anything after they are on trial adoption/adopted is at your expense), spay/neuters (depending on age -if they are not spayed or neutered, we cover it at NW spay & neuter in Tacoma ONLY), transport fees, microchip & deworming! Also, any other unexpected medical expenses and treatments needed. All dogs are up to date on vaccines (depending on age), spayed/neutered (depending on age) & microchipped. If a vet appointment is needed, we will ONLY cover it at our veterinarian.

If you are not willing to give these dogs 48-72 hours to de-stress and relax after their flights or travel from their country of origin, please adopt locally. Some of these dogs do not show their true wonderful personalities until you give them time. And by time, we mean - give them space, give them rest and give them love. Do not take them to a dog park. Do not take them to a groomer. Do not invite the whole family to meet them. It would be too much. You should understand that everything to them is new - country, housing, language, food, flooring, some have never had a toy or had to climb a stair. So, give them a chance to be the dog you want them to be. If we do need to find them a foster home because it is not a good fit, please give us at least 72 hours to do so.

Please fill out an adoption application if you see a dog you would like to meet. If the dog you applied for does go on a trial adoption with another family, but your application is approved we will reach out to match you with another dog. It can take up to 7 days to be notified that your application is approved. If you have not heard back within that period, please email us or PM on Facebook.
